Nevada casinos and other gaming licensees rounding up in implementing new penny policy

Nevada's gaming establishments are preparing to implement a new policy concerning the handling of pennies during customer cash-outs. Licensed operators, including casinos, are beginning to round up these amounts as part of a directive from the Nevada Gaming Control Board.

This policy shift, unveiled in late March, aims to streamline cash handling processes and potentially simplify accounting procedures. While many licensees are already adopting the change, major casinos on the Las Vegas Strip are anticipated to be among the final venues to integrate this new system.
